history
Driffield Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club are one of the longest established clubs in the country. Established in 1879, the club has been an active club for all this time except for a few years which were lost to Hitler!

The Club celebrated its centenary in 1983 with a dinner at the Bell in Driffield with guest speaker, Jim Cochraine, President of the L.T.A at that time.
In 2008 the Club commemorated its 125th Anniversary with a luncheon for present & past members. The speakers on this occasion were; Hon.Alderman Tony Naylor (Past President of both the Driffield & District Lawn Tennis League and The Driffield LTC) and Mr Stephen Atkinson the current President of the Driffield & District Lawn Tennis League.
The club has grown & currently fields twelve teams; four mens'; four ladies' & four mixed teams who play weekly within the Driffield & District Lawn Tennis League.
It is neatly tucked away in the heart of the town, with six grass & two hard courts with a quaint white-painted clubhouse.
