JUNIOR TENNIS
The junior section at the club is going from strength to strength and due to this the club is now able to offer more
opportunities for all junior members.

Coaching
The coaching programme now runs 2 nights a week allowing players from as young as 4 up to 16 years of age to access quality
coaching following the LTA Mini tennis structure, which is as follows:

Mini Red
Primarily for children aged 4 - 8 years.
An introduction to rallying and playing the game and above all to build confidence and have fun.
Mini Orange
8/9 years and upwards depending on ability and the age at which the child started to play.
Developing and playing the game, basic tactics and play more matches. 
Mini Green
10/11 years
Improving physical skills, tennis skills and matches, encouraging children to be more independent,
understand about warming up, practising, fitness and health.
Junior
For players 12 – 16 years old
From beginner to advanced. The junior programme will be run to the standard of the
group or player being coached. Looking at advanced tactics, game play and strokes.

Weekly Coaching Times:
Tuesdays & Fridays 
4.00pm - 4.45pm            5 - 8 years old       Mini Red
4.45pm - 5.30pm            8 - 10 years old     Mini Orange/Green
5.30pm - 6.15/30pm    11 - 16 years old    Junior 

Teams
There has never been a better time to be able to play in a team, and represent the club. With the swelling junior numbers, the club regularly fields 7 junior teams in the Driffield & District League & within the Mini League.  
2 x  Mini Tennis Red (8 & under)
2 xMini Tennis Orange (9 & under)
1 x Mini Tennis Green (10 & under)
2x Driffield Junior (16 & under) 
Tournaments
There will be 3 Junior tennis tournaments throughout the summer. These are to help introduce and improve matchplay to all
ages and standards.
10th May 1pm - 2.30pm Mini Red & Mini Orange 2.30pm - 4.30pm Mini Green & Junior
7th June 1pm - 2.30pm Mini Red & Mini Orange 2.30pm - 4.30pm Mini Green & Junior
12th July 1pm - 2.30pm Mini Red & Mini Orange 2.30pm - 4.30pm Mini Green & Junior
